“It’s more interesting to have just a picture of a small detail…
- then you can dream all the rest around it. Because when you see the whole thing, what is there to imagine?” -Dries Van Noten
That’s the inspirational quote behind The Coveteur’s fantastic website. Founded by two über-talented and charming friends—designer Erin Kleinberg and stylist Stephanie Mark—the site is a new way of looking at the creative process and influences of a fascinating slew of global tastemakers. Captured through the lens of photographer Jake Rosenberg, the Coveteur takes you inside the closets of their subjects, cleverly and creatively styling the chosen items into curated vignettes, focusing on new ways of showcasing the personalization behind fashion’s elite. Kleinberg and Mark, in collaboration with the talent themselves, show and describe, in their own words, the significance each item plays in their lives – from personal accomplishments to the way these meaningful belongings have influenced their unique sense of style. The Coveteur explores what you’ve always wanted to see – the behind the scenes and intimate surveillance of today’s modern trendsetters.
Check out what they did with my closet!
